Stop Comparing, soar high!

When we are not able to bear others’ excellence, we get jealous. Comparison is the seed and jealousy is the fruit. Comparison and jealousy are actually non-existent. We create them ourselves and talk endlessly on how to overcome them.

If you queue up all the people in the world in ascending order of money, where would you be? You will be somewhere in the middle! You will not even able to count the number of people on either side of you in the queue. Now, with your thoughts, you have to decide if you are going to look at the queue in front of you and feel jealous or look at the queue behind you and feel relaxed and grateful to God! It is in your hands.

We will never meet failure if we live our lives by competing with ourselves. Win yourself with yourself, never with others. Every minute of comparison with others is a waste of time in your own progress. A great problem in the rat race is that even if you win you are only a rat! Lock yourself in a room and analyze how much of time and energy you waste in comparison with others; more than 60% I am sure. We talk of conserving petrol, water and electricity; what about conserving our own Energy?

Firefox 1.5 - Is It That Good?

Is Firefox 1.5 really faster than its predecessors? Yes it is.
Is Firefox 1.5 the fastest browser ever? No, it is not

Pros:

  • Firefox is very user friendly (it even warns you that you are about to close a multitabbed window)
  • Firefox allows for many many user chosen customization that comes in forms of extensions and themes
  • Firefox 1.5 is faster than its predecessors.
  • Firefox renders better than ever, and now with SVG and CSS3 support

Cons:

  • Firefox still is slower than Opera (it’s a grouch okay?)
  • Firefox can still bloat its memory usage to quite a huge amount

Drunk women may lose right to claim rape

WOMEN who are raped while drunk face losing the chance to bring their attackers to justice after a legal ruling on the eve of new licensing laws.

A High Court judge yesterday threw out the case of a student who claimed that she was raped while drunk and unconscious on the basis that “drunken consent is still consent”.

The judgment came hours before the sweeping relaxation of Britain licensing laws which introduces 24-hour drinking in pubs for the first time.

Terminator 4 is ready to start production in 2005, but will Arnold Schwarzenegger be back? Variety reports that Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines writers John Brancato and Michael Ferris have completed a draft of a script that was developed under the supervision of "T3" director Jonathan Mostow.

The New PS2

When Sony dropped the skinny new PStwo on us we (along with just about everyone else, it seems) started to wonder if it?d work with the current Hard Disk Drive attachment. Now it?s been confirmed by Sony Computer Entertainment America that it most definitely won?t. Their reasoning is that the hard-core gamers (the ones that would actually buy the PS2 hard drive) already have a classic PS2 (dare we dub it the classic already?) and that the focus with the PStwo will be on new customers that haven?t yet purchased the console and probably won?t miss the hard drive.
