Lunch @ Saamy's Restaurant

Saamy's Restaurant is a well known Indian banana leaf restaurant in Chemor. The restaurant is so famous until people from Penang and KL just drive to Chemor for 2 to 3 hours to have lunch/dinner and come back. I am not that crazy to do that, so, usually I stop by there when I drive to KL. Check out their Facebook profile here . Here are the snaps taken from my recent trip to the restaurant.

Checkout their banana leaf...it's huge!! and I noticed that they serve almost the same size of the leaf to everyone.

It was crowded and we had to wait for our food for some time.

This is their new wing of the restaurant. The old wing is still there, but it's still in 'old shape'. So when you step inside to this new wing, you will be surprised. Just one thing..see how many fans they put up there? LOL

Turkey Curry . All their foods cooked inside clay-pot.

Kampung Chicken Curry ( Not sure what ayam kampung is called in English , ehhe). These two items are the best I have tasted over there :D

Langkawi Trip :- Kuala Kedah Jetty

It was my second trip to Langkawi..I went with Desmond, Jaya and Senthil. Since Kuala Kedah Jetty is nearer to us , we drove all the way to Kuala Kedah from Kulim.

We had breakfast in Lunas before we start the trip. This is one of the famous Wan Tan Mee in Lunas. I will post about the shop which is selling this one day.

It tooks us around 1.5 hours of drive to reach Kuala Kedah from Kulim.

You can park your car inside the jetty car park area, but normally it's always full. So, there is a school in front of the jetty, you can park your car inside the school. I think rate is RM8/day and RM10/day for parking under a roof.

It was 2 days just after Christmas , very crowded but managed to get the tickets

So the cost of the Langkawi ferry ticket is RM 23 one day. If you want to bargain for the price, just call the ferry operator at 04-9663918 , ehehe

Senthil & Jaya

It was a 2 hours of ferry ride...so I was fully occupied with songs and videos in my phone.

More pictures from my Langkawi Trip can be seen here .

Recap :- Father's Day 2010

Do you celebrate Father's Day ? If someone had asked me this questions 4 or 5 years ago, I would have replied, "No! Why should I celebrate it..my father is always with me and we also have lunch or dinner together at home" ..plus..back then I did not really bother to celebrate the 'one day hu-ha' celebration days. But, when you started to meet up with new people in your life , go to new places, or go through new experiences ( good and bad), you would start to look at things differently and you would appreciate things you have in your life with you at this moment.

Here are some snaps taken from fathers day celebration last year.
